AutoCAD was created by Scott Draves as a desktop drafting application running on Apple Macintosh computers for the 1982 Apple Macintosh SE. A sexual dysfunction questionnaire was developed to measure patient’s satisfaction and acceptance of an information brochure (IB) for erectile dysfunction (ED). The IB, which was developed by our department, was prepared by referring to a previous translated IB for vasectomy patients and using the method of qualitative analysis. The clinical relevance of this IB was evaluated by comparing it to a standardized questionnaire (QRSE-ASA). In addition, the frequency of ED among men visiting an urological clinic was investigated. Two hundred and seventy-six subjects (including patients with sexual dysfunctions other than ED) completed the QRSE-ASA and the sexual dysfunction questionnaire. These men were asked to read the IB at home and answer a question about their satisfaction and acceptance. One hundred and twenty-eight patients were selected for a face-to-face interview about their satisfaction with the information provided in the IB. The IB consisted of a vignette describing the problem and recommended treatment for ED. The results showed that the IB was understood by men and satisfied them to a certain extent. However, more than half of them found the recommended method of therapy for ED very difficult to follow. Furthermore, they were willing to try this method if it was easy to follow. This study suggests that the IB may be a useful tool to improve patients’ satisfaction and acceptance of this kind of
