What’s new:
Each time you run the program you have the opportunity to select the year and month to add
It’s now possible to set the program to index only files that are duplicated
Starting up with an empty collection
I also added a layout tutorial to help explain how indexing works. Click on the link below to see the tutorial.
Other cool features:
There’s a “screenshot capture” option that enables you to save out your index, then convert it to a variety of formats.
Also, you can load an existing index from a text file.
In short, ArchiveXindex Free Download is fast, can be useful for certain types of indexing, and provides some pretty cool features.
I’ve had some requests to add some features.
The first was to add the option to exclude certain files from the index. This feature is already available in many other programs, and is especially useful when the files are large and not to be kept in the index. This feature would also speed things up, since it would cause a lot of the data duplicates to get removed from the collection, then the program would just need to add a “del” line item for the deleted files. An option for this would be very useful.
The next feature would be the ability to create search indexes. A lot of applications will have an internal index (known as an inverted index) that is indexed on the documents being indexed. In this case the program would create an index of the indexed words and store them as well. This would provide a method for browsing and searching documents through the index. I don’t know how many databases do this, but I’ve seen it done in the past (with JavaScript or PHP based applications). I would be interested in seeing some samples of this type of feature.
And finally, the ability to delete duplicates from the collection. In the previous version, if there were duplicate files, an entry was made for each. Now the program can be customized to delete the duplicates, or not to worry about it. There’s even an option to just keep the first file of the group in the collection.
I have a feeling that there would be some really cool features on top of all this.
Note that no method of securing the application was implemented.
The software can be freely downloaded from my site

IMO: This app may replace your current file indexer. I like it a lot! It has a unique large list of commands. However the documentation is not complete. 😀 It is mainly a GUI app. It is not fully Java based. You can add new commands. Theres no way to add a different GUI. But for now this is the best you can do for this indexing tool.
On the other hand I recomend you to use a different software. It has a command line version and a lot of other thing. Another software I recomend is UsenetIndexer.

I am quite sure that you are sick of hearing about the high-level protocol for the feature-rich, low-level protocol.
RIFF/WAV audio files are the “old” way to store audio. They use a very simple, on-disk format, which consists of a header and a list of audio samples. They are very small, but can’t be processed (in most cases).
So, the rest of the world, has invented another, higher-level, file format. The world goes on and on with the “new” stuff. Like a cat, who gets tired of being kicked every day.
As the sun sets the cat just lays around, sleeping.
Until the cat awakens! He goes out to explore the world, seeing if he can find something to eat. The cat moves quickly, as it can see things, that the human eye can’t.
The cat goes about its explorations. Always wanting to sleep, as it might get hurt.
One day, the cat discovers the small peb
